Q. What is non-medical home care?
A. Non-medical home care specializes in providing clients with compassionate
caregivers in the familiar comfort of their own home or in facilities like hospitals,
rehabilitation centers, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or senior
communities. A home care worker can provide companionship to an older adult,
as well as help with activities such as medication reminding; preparing meals;
transferring from chair, toilet or bed; bathing; getting dressed; light housekeeping
or transportation to and from doctors' appointments.
Q. Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?
A. YES, we are licensed, bonded, and insured.
Q. Do you require a deposit?
A. NO, we do not. We bill a week after service begins.
Q. Do we pay a placement fee?
A. No, you are not required to pay a placement fee.
Q. Do you offer short and long term non-medical home care services?
A. We offer hourly and live-in caregivers.
Q. Do you run criminal background checks and reference checks?
A. YES.
Q. Does your agency make supervisory visits?
A. YES. We also call our caregivers often to receive updates.
Q. Who is responsible for paying the caregiver's taxes?
A. WE ARE. We take out their taxes & we pay the employment taxes for them.
Q. Do your caregivers speak English?
A. Yes. Our caregivers, speak, read, and write in English.
Q. Do you provide coverage on caregiver's day off?
A. Yes, we do.
Q. Do we provide room & board accommodations for the caregivers?
A. Hourly-NO; Live-in-YES.
Q. Do you have a regular nurse in your office for caregivers to call in case of any medical concerns?
A. YES.
Q. Will we get an opportunity to meet the caregiver before service starts?
A. Yes, we will set up an interview when it is convenient for you.
Q. Do you offer a free assessment?
A. YES. We visit the client's home (or facility) and do a thorough assessment of the senior's needs and the living situation. Our representative then completes a "Care Plan" that is helpful to our staff and the client's family.
Q. What are your hours?
A. Excellent Home Caregivers' caregivers are available from 4 to 24 hours a day. ALL services are available 7 days a week including holidays. Our office hours are Monday thru Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Of course, we are available 24 hours, 7 days a week by phone in case of emergency.
Q. Do you accept private long term care insurance?
A. YES, but not medicare.
Q. How much notice do you need?
A. At least 24 hours.
